Film.

Severin says… Go see.

Free films on over the summer sunshine period, hopefully, from the 1st of July up untill the 9th of September. This is being held at Spinning Fields in Manchester, pretty much in the city centre, on outdoor screens, and as mentioned all the screenings are free! Full film listing here.

The Film Four Summer Screen is back again this summer, for outdoor big screens full of film and ‘Behind the Film’ events. These are films you have to pay for, and it is a bit of a distance, but the atmosphere and experience would be well worth it.

But on a closer note…

Calderdale libraries are holding a Summer Family Film Festival, mainly held in Halifax at the central library and the Victoria Theatre.  Most of the films are FREE to attend, these are all shown at the library itself where as the few at the Victoria Theatre are a mere £2.50 each!

Films at the library include; Where The Wild Things Are, Precious, The Road and all time favourite shorts from Trap Door and Count Duckula, (plus many others)! The Victoria Theatre is showing Let The Right One In, Mirror Mask and La Haine! Screenings start on the 31st of July and run untill the 28th of August, pick up a programme in a local library or information point or for more information call 01422 392606, or even email at anna.turner@calderdale.gov.uk. See you there.
